I would like to thank Scott Slappey for all his hard work.  He made any communication as stress free as possible, and always gave as much piece of mind to me as he could.  He made sure I understood all my options and helped me make the best choice for me.  He calmed and reassured me when they tried to bully me into a deal that was not in my best interest.  I appreciate all he did for me.  I give my deepest thanks not only to Scott, but to everyone there who put so much hard work into my case.  I could not have been more pleased.

Thank you.  Eddie V. - Fayetteville, Georgia

CONSTRUCTION ACCIDENTS OVERVIEW

Everyday in America, a construction worker is killed or maimed due to the negligent conduct of another. By the very nature of construction sites, many dangerous situations exist for injury and death. Construction accident injuries commonly are due to falls from ladders and scaffolding, crane accidents, falls from roofs, falls in holes without guarding or barricades, electrocutions, lack of catch nets, back injury due to heavy lifting, and personal injuries from being hit by falling objects in the construction site. Many other workers are injured while using defective or dangerous products including scaffolding, cranes, power tools derricks, hoists, conveyors, woodworking tools, ladders, winches, trucks, graters, scraper, tractors, bulldozers, forklifts, as well as many other types of construction equipment. There are a significant number of work related claims that require an attorney to insure your rights and potential compensation are protected.

Mr. Scott Slappey & Ms. Kathleen were great in helping me on my case. They "always" kept me informed on all the progress and made me feel very comfortable as I went through my dilemma. Thank you much.

The legal issues involved with a personal injury or death occurring on an accident site can be complicated due to the location and ownership of the site itself and the many parties in question.  Often, after a worker is injured, representatives and lawyers of the different companies will meet and discuss the details of the accident, hire investigators and photographers to document the site.  A construction accident personal injury lawyer representing the injured party may be needed to gain access to the site, and intervene on behalf of the injured employee or his family to insure that his/her rights and the evidence is protected.

CONSTRUCTION ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION

A construction accident attorney may hire a private investigator to start interviewing witnesses of the accident and research the ownership of the facility and the names and position of authority of all parties involved.  The construction accident lawyer should then contact the companies and demand access to the facility and obtain a written agreement that the evidence or accident site in question be preserved until it has been inspected by the injured parties attorneys and engineers.  If an agreement can not be reached as to the preservation of the site, then an immediate lawsuit or injunction would need to be filed along with a court ordered inspection.  The quicker an attorney gets involved the better.  Time can sometimes be our worst enemy in accident cases.  Workplaces change, workers move and memories often fade.  Click here for a  Free Case Evaluation or call 404-255-6677 for an evaluation of your construction, crane, or scaffolding injury case at no charge..
